I love
PHOTOSHOP!
Especially for things like this, it's the grownup version of a coloring book:)
Pic#1: 'Tsunami' is a picture I drew when I was 14 and going through a kimono phase. I chose to color this one digitally because it originally had a coffee stain on the whole top half and while I was testing photoshop I discovered I could get rid of that stain. This one also has a watercolor affect so that's why it looks a little different.
Pic#2: 'Heart of Fire' is the second drawing of the same character that I drew when I was 17 before I knew what photoshop was capable of, which is why it's shaded in. But with photoshop and a multiply layer instead of a color layer the color came out perfect. The backlighting effect also really umps that fire. The fire also was drawn digitally, not by hand because I thought it would be a better effect.
Pic#3: 'SummerSet Geisha' This was drawn last year 2011 when I discovered that using lineart (not shadded and very simplistic drawing)was a lot easier to color on the computer and looked better at that. The background is a free stockphoto and everything else was digitally done and took me a total of 6 hours to do; thought I'm not sure, could be 8hrs.
Pic#4: 'Shadowed Ward' Featuring Robin, of Gotham's Dynamic Duo. This was drawn from memory and specifically because I knew I wanted to color it online and experiment in shading in really dark colors. What bette to make dark and intimidating then Robin? Currently it's one of my favorite pictures, but mostly because of the coloring, not so much because it's my best work drawing.
Pic#5: During Ha11oween of 2011 my cousin, Ceasar, was a zombie hunter and I took this picture during a photoshoot of their costumes. I chose this picture to color because, honestly, it was on of the few that I had sitting on my computer in B&W and because I wanted to give the background a shot but I couldn't do it so I just left it as is for now and maybe I'll play around with the background later.
